32nd ANNIVERSARY SEASON 2020-2021
We will begin by presenting our fall concerts online either via livestreams or by premiering videos, especially recorded for our organization. We are aiming to preserve the intimate “salon” feel of our series and to take you on a virtual journey throughout New York City. As always, you will have the opportunity to hear and get to know exceptional young artists who are destined to become our future “greats.”
FALL
Gala Awards Concert

Our acclaimed Gala Awards Concert will feature our 2020 grant winners Nathan Meltzer, violin, Sooah Jeon, flute, Hina and Fiona Khuong-Huu, violin, and Zac Zinger, multi-instrumentalist, with the renowned musicologist Robert Sherman, host of WQXR’s Young Artists Showcase as Master of Ceremonies. Appearing remotely, you will see and hear the cellist Alexander Hersh, as well as violinist Mone Hattori and pianists Albert Cano Smit and Remi Geniet.
Czech Serenade
Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7 p.m.
Video premiere of especially recorded performances in Prague and Bohemian National Hall, New York in collaboration with the Consulate of the Czech Republic in NY
We will feature the talented Czech violinst Julie Svecena in Prague, and the rising star cellist Sterling Elliot, who will perform a delightful program of Czech Composers. As a bonus the audience will also have access to a lecture by the Dvorak Society of New York.
Holiday Concert in Celebration of Beethoven’s 250th Birthday!
Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 7 p.m.
Pre-recorded at Kosciuszko Foundation, New York
Join us as we celebrate the season and the special occasion on Beethoven’s birthday!
We will feature the extraordinarily gifted young violinist Randall Goosby with pianist Zhu Wang
and the exciting pianist Hilda Huang. They will perform an all-Beethoven program, including the famous Kreutzer Violin Sonata.
WINTER and SPRING
New Year’s Concert
Join us on January 19, 2021 for our New Year’s Concert, featuring the rising young violinist Kevin Zhu and the exquisite cellist Jonah Ellsworth, performing from Rare Violins of New York.
Valentine Piano Extravaganza
On February 16, 2021 we present an exciting piano extravaganza in celebration of Valentine’s Day, featuring the exciting pianist and vocalist Chelsea Guo and pianist Elliot Wuu, performing from an elegant private loft in New York City.
Spring Song From Japan
Join us on March 29, 2021 for a special virtual concert of chamber music, Spring Song From Japan, presented in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan, featuring inspiring performances by The Horszowski Trio, who will perform from New York, and Quartet Amabile, who will be joining us from Tokyo.
Musical Soul of Hungary
On May 3, 2021 we present an exciting evening in collaboration with the Consulate General of Hungary in New York, the Musical Soul of Hungary, featuring a special guest appearance by Salon Career Grant winner violinist Béla Horvath and a performance by the terrific young pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, performing from New York, and the vibrant young Korossy Quartet performing from Hungary.
East Meets West
In early June we bring our season to an exciting finale with our East Meets West concert, featuring the award-winning Ulysses Quartet, representing the West, and Jay Gandhi on bansuri (Indian flute) and Salon Career Grant Winner Dibyarka Chatterjee on tabla, representing the East, performing from the Consulate General of India in New York.
